How Does DOMA Affect Workers’ Compensation?

Today marks a landmark day for same-sex couples as the Supreme Court has released two major decisions expanding gay rights across the country. In a split decision, the justices struck down the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), a federal law that eliminates the recognition of same-sex marriage. The court also terminated California’s widely debated Prop 8 marriage ban.
