    Instagram Selfies Lead to Arrest

    A Lake Worth man faces 142 charges after photographs of himself with guns appeared on his Instagram, leading to his arrest.

    Palm Beach County detectives were already investigating Depree Johnson in connection with recent jewelry thefts. Upon gathering information of his home’s location, police recovered “numerous pieces of jewelry … (including) watches, charms, necklaces and loose diamonds, as well as two stolen firearms.” The items totaled about $250,000 in jewelry, electronics and firearms.

    Though Johnson’s Instagram is no longer active, formerly known as “Duce22ceritfied,” it includes photos of himself posing with guns, cash and other shameless selfies. 

    When investigators asked Johnson for his occupation, he replied with one word: “Thief.” Suffice to say, his last selfie was not his mugshot.
